Dr. Merik Metos
Medical Director + CVCH
Merik Metos graduated from Washington State University’s Veterinary School in 2013. After graduation, she worked in Kanab, Utah at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary for several years until returning to Idaho in 2016. Dr. Metos has been providing quality emergency, small animal, and exotic animal care for the last 8 years.
Dr. Metos is certified CVCH and also practices Apiary medicine (honeybees) and wildlife medicine. Her favorite exotic animals to work on are reptiles, rodents, birds of prey, and amphibians. She is also certified in traditional Chinese herbal medicine and food therapy from the Chi Institute in Florida. In her free time, Dr. Metos likes to draw, bake, write gardening books, and kayak with her husband. Dr. Metos has four dogs, a cat, chickens, and a toad named Edwina.
Dr. Cindy Goldsmith
Dr. Cindy Goldsmith graduated from Michigan State University with her degree in veterinary medicine. That continued a life time love of animals. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary practice including medicine and surgery. When not in the clinic she enjoys quilting, spending time with her family exploring Idaho and shares her home with a Brittany named Smokie and a black Labrador named Sadie.
Dr. Clyde Cieszynski
Dr. Cieszynski was born and raised in Wisconsin. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and a Master’s of Science from the University of Tennessee- Knoxville. He obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University- Ames, Iowa.
After graduation, he was employed in mixed practice in Northern Wisconsin for 6 years. In 1991 he joined the United States Air Force and served until October of 1994. He has been with Eastgate Pet Clinic since the summer of 1995. Dr. C actively enjoys the outdoors. He has participated many times in the Blooms Day Run in Spokane, Washington, and the Robie Creek Run in Boise. He enjoys camping, hiking, and collecting edible wild mushrooms.
