Dr. Mary Fowler's Biography
Dr. Mary Fowler grew up in Ceres, California in the heart of peach ranching country. She attended Modesto Junior College before transferring to California State Polytechnic University at Pomona, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. She did 2 years of post-graduate research at the University of Idaho in reproductive endocrinology before attending the University of California at Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine. There she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1982. She started her veterinary career at the Crows Landing Road Veterinary Clinic in Modesto, California, where she had previously worked as a technician. She practiced companion animal medicine in Modesto for many years before moving to Boise.
Dr. Fowler has practiced at the Idaho Humane Society veterinary clinic since March, 1990. She also practices, on occasion, at the Eastgate Pet Clinic, which she co-owns with her husband Dr. Robert Gilmore. She has done relief work at various other Boise valley clinics over the years.
The Dr’s have two grown children, 2 dogs, 3 cats and occasional other pets to keep them busy.
